| Meet Semi, a rescue by Turn N' Spit Flyball Team efforts! I went to check out Semi as a height dog for another team, to make sure she had the skills to play flyball! When I got there, I found a very sweet, friendly and cool looking dog that was very overweight... So, I watched her move around the yard, check me out and gave her a temperment test...then I picked up the ball, boy was I in for a surprise!! She retrieved the ball non-stop with complete focus and drive! She brought that ball back everytime, slamming into me or jumping up onto my legs and shoving the ball back at me! Then I pulled out the tug...which she happily grabbed a hold of and made sure I was holding on tight! I decided to test her a bit...by holding her and throwing out her ball, waiting til she got it and had her running back to me and exchanging the ball for the tug, no problem!! At this point, I was thinking, what a cool dog, she will make a very nice flyball dog or sports dog...so I proceeded to give her and my legs a rest, |

| let her cool off and lay down...that was a mistake, as I stood their talking to her owner at the time, not paying her any attention, she nailed me full running force ramming the ball and herself into my legs! At that very moment, I was sold and knew I was going to keep her for myself!! Not to mention I had bruises that lasted over 2 weeks!! :O) Thus she earned her name Mack Truck aka Semi! Semi is an awesome representation of the bully breeds. She is half Staffordshire Bull Terrier and half English Bull Terrier. She is from champion show dogs, that the grandkids accidentallly let out together, whoops!! She was a singleton pup and was raised in a great home with an owner that loved her to death! I cant thank him enough for trusting me with his girl! She is great with children, people, all dogs and livestock. She is always wanting to please me and is completely fearless! Semi is in training for flyball, obedience, agility, schutzhund and dock jumping! Like I said she has no fear to jump off anything, now if she would figure out how to swim with her rear legs..she wouldnt sink! |
